I had asthma when I was a kid. Most days I spent about thirty minutes hooked up to a Nebulizer while I watched Mr. Dressup and read picture books. With steam billowing from my mask, I devoured our latest haul from the library.
Now I’m an adult. The asthma’s pretty much gone, but I still love reading. I also like to write. I have an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from UBC.
I’m the kind of writer who outlines, which means that I spend a lot of time thinking about the shapes of stories. In this blog, I’d like to share some of those thoughts.
